# Set up your account

> Create a team, connect Stripe, choose the Prices to localize and copy your public key.

Setup happens at [app.easyppp.com](https://app.easyppp.com). The guided steps there match the ones below. Start in Stripe test mode or a sandbox if you want to see everything work before any live Prices are created.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a team">
    Sign up and create a team. Every EasyPPP account is a team, even for one person. Stripe connections, keys and billing belong to the team, and anyone you invite can manage them.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect Stripe">
    Click **Connect Stripe**. You are sent to Stripe to approve the EasyPPP app and come straight back.

    EasyPPP reads your products, prices and payments, and creates new Prices. It never edits or deletes an existing Price and never charges or moves money. You can remove the app from your Stripe dashboard at any time.

    Live, test mode and sandboxes are separate connections. Each has its own key. A Stripe account can belong to one EasyPPP team.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose products">
    Tick the Prices you want localized. For each one EasyPPP creates one sibling Price per market tier, in your Stripe account, on the same Product and in the same currency. A dialog lists exactly what will be created before anything happens.

    Siblings look like this in Stripe: `Pro · Medium (45%)`. Recurring intervals and tax behavior are copied from the base Price.

    A Price can be localized if it is active, charges a fixed amount per unit, and is in your Stripe account's default currency. Archived, tiered, usage-based, customer-chooses-the-amount and fractional-cent Prices are listed but cannot be selected.

    Unticking a Price later archives its siblings. Existing subscriptions keep billing. Ticking it again brings the same siblings back.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review markets">
    This page shows the tiers your Prices will use: which countries pay what percentage of your base price. The tiers are the same for every EasyPPP merchant and cannot be edited. See [How it works](/docs/how-it-works) for where they come from.

    The revenue step after this is optional. It reads your last twelve months of charges and estimates what those markets could be worth.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a card (live only)">
    Before EasyPPP creates live Prices or issues a live key, the team needs a card on file. EasyPPP bills 10% of what the localized Prices collect, monthly, to that card. Test mode and sandbox connections never need a card and are never billed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy your public key">
    The last step shows your key. It starts with `ep_live_`, `ep_test_` or `ep_sbx_` and is public on purpose, like a Stripe publishable key. It can only read localized prices. It cannot charge, refund, or see your customers or revenue.

    The key is always available again under **Settings**. Each connection keeps one key. There is no rotation; the key is revoked only when you disconnect the Stripe account.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Next

* [Install with an agent](/docs/install-with-an-agent) if you want Claude Code or Codex to wire up your pricing page.
* [Integrate by hand](/docs/integrate) for the request, the fields to use and the fallback rules.

## Two settings worth knowing

Both live on the dashboard and take effect within about a minute. Neither touches Stripe.

| Setting | Default | Effect |
| - | - | - |
| Pause localized pricing | Off | Everyone pays your base price. Your Prices and key stay as they are. |
| VPN guard | On | Visitors arriving through a VPN, proxy or hosting provider see your base price. |
