FAQ

What is purchasing power parity (PPP) pricing?

PPP pricing adjusts what you charge to what money is worth locally. A $49 plan is an easy yes in San Francisco and a month of groceries in Lagos. PPP pricing charges each market a price that feels the same, so more buyers convert without discounting your most expensive markets.

How is EasyPPP different from Stripe’s price localization?

Stripe can show a price in the buyer’s currency, but it converts at the exchange rate, so the price is still set for the US. EasyPPP changes the amount itself, based on local purchasing power, and serves it as a real Stripe Price in the local currency.

Does EasyPPP use discount coupons?

No. Each market gets its own Stripe Price on your Product. There are no codes to share, leak or stack, and your invoices show a normal price, not a discount.

What stops people from using a VPN to get a cheaper price?

EasyPPP checks every request against VPN, proxy and hosting-provider IP ranges. Traffic that looks like it’s tunneling gets your base price.

What does EasyPPP cost?

10% of the PPP revenue you collect, billed monthly to a card on file. Nothing up front, no per-request fees, and nothing on revenue at your base price.

What counts as PPP revenue?

Money you collect on a price EasyPPP set, net of refunds. Revenue at your base price is not tracked and not billed, so your US customers never enter the calculation.

Do I have to use your front-end components?

There are none to use. EasyPPP is an API: you call it from your pricing page or your server and render the number with the component you already have.

Where does the price level data come from?

We start from the World Bank’s price level index and refresh market data monthly. You choose which countries are included.
